Where Unless otherwise directed, birding hike tours meet in Algonquin Provincial Park's west gate parking lot, next to large birch bark sign, at 6:25am. Please look for our vest (with the Canadian flag logo) wearing guide. You will follow our guide, in your own vehicle, to the location chosen for that day. When Daily @ 7am, 365 days a year. Program Details
This spectacular wilderness adventure for birders and those who like exploring nature on foot. During this 3 hour hike, your guide will teach about the history of Algonquin Park, area history and the flora/fauna encountered along the trail. Total distance covered will be between 5-8km depending on group member fitness, weather and ground conditions. Breakfast treats from Henrietta's Pine Bakery are served.
Our most senior staff guide, a locally raised amateur ornithologist, leads this program. Whether you need a safe and informative hiking tour, or seek help completing a big year, 3 hours with Dale will provide memories for a lifetime.
This Algonquin Provincial Park birding tour is only offered only as a private experience. The intimacy of this program allows everyone to easily hear what the guide is saying and increases your bird observation potential. Other creatures are often seen on our hikes, but those encounters can't be predicted. Please note that our guides can get fully booked in July/Aug, so please reserve early (at least 2 days, but preferably 2 weeks/months). Any age is ok on this private adventure.
