2026 Algonquin Park Wilderness Canoe Trip Tour Guide & Naturalist
Join us in celebrating our 28th anniversary as outdoor education specialists! We are seeking passionate wilderness canoe trip tour guides and naturalists for our 4.5 month season. Founded in 1996, we have been guiding educational adventures to travelers from around the world, sharing the beauty and wonder of Algonquin Provincial Park.

Compensation:
- $16,000-$22,000 for first year full season guides
- $190-$240/day ($19/h for non guiding days) + generous bonuses

Work Schedule:
May 17 - October 11th, 2024; full time.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with wilderness canoe tripping and camping
- Knowledge of Algonquin Park flora, fauna, and ecology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Physical fitness for portaging and paddling long distances
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Passion for outdoor education and environmental stewardship
Duties:
- Lead and guide wilderness canoe trips for groups of various sizes
- Educate guests about Algonquin Park's natural and cultural history
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all trip participants
- Prepare and cook meals during multi-day canoe trips
- Set up and break down camp, including tents and equipment
- Portage canoes and gear between lakes and rivers
- Maintain and care for all trip equipment and gear
- Provide exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences
- Assist with trip planning, logistics, and preparation
- Support conservation efforts and Leave No Trace principles
